Pica P520 Discontinued – Fully Replaced by Pica P500
Pica Kemi AB has conducted extensive field testing over an extended period to further evaluate the performance and application areas of our surface treatment and impregnation products.
The results clearly demonstrate that Pica P500 is in no way less suitable for application at low temperatures compared to the previous product Pica P520. On the contrary, Pica P500 delivers equivalent performance and reliability, even under demanding winter conditions.
Based on these findings, we have decided to fully discontinue Pica P520 from our product range as of March 17, 2026.
At the same time, we are updating our recommendations for the use of Pica P500. The product can now be applied at temperatures down to -2 °C, providing increased flexibility and extended usability during colder periods.
